Sunghyun H. Hong, MS, MSW, is a Ph.D. candidate in the Joint Program in Social Work and Developmental Psychology at the University of Michigan. Her research investigates how resilience develops and why it occurs as dynamic, nonlinear, and diverse developmental patterns. Her research questions involve identifying biological, relational, and cultural mechanisms that can shield individuals from the ongoing impacts of interpersonal and structural risks throughout various stages of life.
