Congratulations to Yoonzie Chung on receiving the 2025 Susan J. Zuravin Award, presented annually to one outstanding student in the University of Maryland School of Social Work.
Adding to this exciting achievement, Yoonzie has also had two papers recently accepted for publication in peer-reviewed journals. These publications contribute to our understanding of how neighborhood characteristics, social cohesion, and economic conditions relate to child maltreatment.
The two forthcoming publications are:
- Chung, Y., Maguire-Jack, K., Pei, F., Lee, J., & Chang, Y (in press). The mediating role of social cohesion between neighborhood disorder and child maltreatment behaviors across childhood. Journal of Family Violence.
- Chung, Y., Rose, R. A., & Maguire-Jack, K. (in press). Neighborhood economic characteristics and child maltreatment: A systematic review. Journal of Family Violence.
We are proud of Yoonzie’s accomplishments and excited to see her continued contributions to research that supports children and families!
