Sarah Parmenter

Sarah Parmenter MSW, LSW is a doctoral candidate in the College of Social Work. She is also a full-time research project manager for The Ohio State University. She is currently managing Ohio’s CAPTA Citizen Review Panels under contract with The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS). Prior to her work with Ohio State, Sarah worked as an intake caseworker with Franklin County Children Services in Columbus, OH investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect. Sarah also has clinical work experience with Netcare Access working with adults experiencing mental health crises in Columbus, OH. Sarah has a BA in Human Development and Family Sciences and an MSW from The Ohio State University. Sarah’s research interests stem from her work in the child welfare system, and her related work in crisis settings with families who have had contact with the child welfare system. Her research interests focus on child welfare workforce development, occupational well-being, resilience, family experiences with the child welfare system, and child welfare policy.
